Welcome to my sewing room!! Won't you come in and sew for a while? View from the door...this room will never be this clean again...
Last evening, my first free evening without any homework, I went into my sewing room to work on something...I wasn't quite sure what to start with, so I ended up organizing and cleaning up, since it had been such a long time since I had been in there. So here are a few pictures of my sewing room. Did you know that Treadmills make the perfect storage for quilt tops? I hear there is another purpose for them...
View from sewing machine...yes I really have that much fabric (only 1/3 is visible)...but I am on a diet...
Wow, what a busy summer so far. Since my last post I've been to the Oregon coast twice, written two papers for school, visited Crater Lake and southern Oregon...all of this to say that I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. I've been working on putting binding on several quilts...that's my big quilting progress so far...but the GREAT news is NO SCHOOL till Sept 12, so I should have lots to post about quilts I'm working on.
In case you are near Lebanon, Oregon on Tuesday, August 5th, I'll be presenting at the local guild meeting. It will be a presentation on the Tokyo International Quilt Show.

Glad to see you are back from a busy summer and able to enjoy some R@R in your sewing room. I love your fabric resource center, it looks like a happy place to design some interesting quilts. Would love to be at the local guild for your Tokyo Show presentation, but I am making a trip to Paducah Quilt Museum the following week. The top winning quilts from the Nihon Nineth Tokyo Exhibition are on a traveling tour for one year. The Grand Prix winner in the Traditional Category is the friend that got me in the classes at the Tokyo International Show, so we are going especially to see her quilt. Are you going to the Tokyo Show again in 2009? I am entertaining the thought very strongly...wouldn't it be fun to attend a class and meet there? Thanks for your comment, will be posting again soon after I finishing other things. Hope your program goes well. (website for the 9th Nihon Exibit below)

Hi, Wish I was going back in January, but my sister that was living in Japan has moved to N. Carolina. Plus I have a trip to China in May 2009, but maybe another year. I'm also thinking about another trip to Paducah some time, may in 2010, when I am finished with school. Thanks for the link!
Hope to send photos one day soon of my sewing room. Loved your pictures. Sorry we won't be making it to Tokyo this winter. Jay
